Job Description
The Insurance Administrative Assistant is responsible for advanced organizational support to Risk Department, including correspondence regarding insurance/claim matters, responding to discovery requests, monitoring, reporting, and analyzing data as needed.

Principal Responsibilities
• Validates and processes all accounts payable for the department.

• Responsible for department records management; including researching requests for archived claim files, insurance policies, etc.

• Assists in the development of presentations and informational materials as needed

• Assists with customer and/or field requests for basic coverage issues, EMOD requests, and other Risk related inquiries.

• Acts as a liaison between the Risk Management department, Company Operations, and third party administrator by handling requests for information, including, but not limited to, requests for legal entity information, status of claims, telephonic conferences, explanation of policies, etc.

• Maintains department calendars including mediation and trial calendars.

• Ensures the data quality and integrity of legal tracker.

• Assists with claimants to ensure excellent customer service, which may include assisting injured workers through recovery.

• Assists with regulatory filings required of the Company.

• Organizes data for claim file reviews, attorney meetings, audits, etc.

• Assists with establishing procedures, systems and tools for monitoring productivity and efficiency standards between the Company’s operations teams and the claims administration team.

• Assists with field inquiries regarding the monthly claims chargeback allocation.

• Assists in the review and preparation of the monthly chargeback allocation report.

• Assists with inquiries for the Company’s bid review process including but not limited to litigation requests, insurance requests, etc.

• Assists with internal and external audits.

• Assists with Certificate of Insurance inquiries.

• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• Minimum of 1 year of insurance, claims or accounting experience (required).

• Knowledge of the insurance industry, including different lines of insurance and coverage.

• Advanced skill level with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

• Must be able to handle confidential and proprietary information appropriately.

• Analytical skills, including the ability to quickly analyze complex data.
